General Information
BHSG provides network services to more than 2,800 employers (representing more than 361,000 lives) through these and other insurance companies, third-party administrators and national provider networks. BHSG also maintains a strong relationship with many large, self-insured employers. More than 150 of these Mid-South purchasers access a BHSG network. Contracted payers offer EPO, PPO, POS and HMO benefit plan designs.
BHSG's provider network provides access to more than 40 hospitals
and 130 outpatient facilities – including both freestanding outpatient surgery
centers and in-hospital outpatient centers– and more than 2,700 physicians,
covering primary care and most specialties. Major insurance companies marketing
health benefit plans in the Mid-South have identified BHSG as one of the
most cost-efficient networks in the region.
