Physicians and Ancillary Providers
The provider relations department functions as the liaison among contracted physician and ancillary provider offices, third-party payers and insurance companies. The staff works on behalf of the network to define network development strategy and define areas where providers are needed. They also work on behalf of contracted providers to resolve participation issues, contractual issues and fee schedule and payment problems. Provider relations staff regularly visits provider offices to deliver informational materials and educate providers about how the network functions.

Hospitals and Outpatient Ancillary Facilities
The facility & payer relations department functions as a liaison among contracted hospitals and outpatient ancillary facility providers, third-party payers, other networks and insurance companies. The staff works on behalf of the network to define network development strategy and to define areas where facility providers might be needed. In addition, this department serves as a liaison to resolve issues providers may not be able to solve themselves. Facility & payer relations is in constant contact, both by telephone and with on-site visitations, to ensure all facility providers receive as much information as needed to understand the day-to-day relationship with Baptist Health Services Group, its contracted payers providers, and its mission.
